Online learning has become a key strategy for districts and schools to offer students greater access to the courses they need to prepare for future education and careers. Current estimates from the “Keeping Pace with K-12 Digital Learning, 2015” annual report1 show that 2.2 million students are currently taking more than 3.8 million online courses.

The Virtual High School Launches Three New Courses Suitable for ESL Students

The Virtual High School (VHS Inc.), an educational non-profit offering schools and parents the industry’s best online learning programs, today announced that they will pilot three new courses suitable for English as a Second Language (ESL) students this fall. The new courses were developed in partnership with CERNET Education and with input from ESL experts at the Massachusetts International Academy (MAIA). Fall registration for all courses is currently open and courses begin September 7th.

The Virtual High School and Quincy College Announce First Course in New Dual Credit Program

The Virtual High School (VHS, Inc.), a non-profit empowering schools with the industry’s best online learning programs, is announcing its new dual credit partnership with Quincy College, a two-year, municipally affiliated college with campuses in Plymouth and Quincy Massachusetts. Starting Fall of 2016, VHS students can earn college credit from Quincy College for taking online Virtual High School U.S History courses.
